We’ll be direct. We are asking you to donate to Justin Bibb’s campaign for Mayor of Cleveland.
You may not live and vote in Cleveland, but if you live in Northeast Ohio, or even if you don’t, you have a vested interest in helping to put progressive, compassionate and energetic leadership in charge of our great city.
Justin Bibb is the kind of leader that we need in all our cities. He is smart, capable, honest and a tireless worker for society’s most vulnerable people.
For residents and voters in Cleveland this is an easy choice. Justin Bibb will put Cleveland residents and voters on an equal footing at City Hall with corporate and outside interests, which is why the bulk of his many small donations to date have come from people that live in Cleveland.
For years Cleveland’s elected officials have preferentially catered to the privileged and powerful influencers and corporations, many from outside the city, which is why wealthy suburban contributors have lined up behind the “same old, same old” candidate who has given the “upper crust” free rein at City Hall the last eight years.
That’s why if you live in the region around Cleveland or simply want to see smart, progressive leaders elected to office, you should give to Justin’s campaign. We must level the playing field with the corporations, power brokers and suburban influencers who want Cleveland to serve them before its residents.
Justin will assure we invest to revitalize Cleveland’s neighborhoods, and he has a solid plan to improve policing to reduce violent crime. He understands the climate crisis and its connection to environmental justice. He will assure that Cleveland becomes a sustainable hub in Northeast Ohio that will protect its residents from the accelerating climate crisis and evolve our city to a lower carbon footprint while providing good paying jobs in a growing economic environment.
Justin is a champion of education and job training, and will assure that the youth of Cleveland choose to stay and prosper here because solid opportunities for jobs and affordable housing are here for them. Justin will work hard for equal justice and responsive city government and will attract the best and brightest minds to serve in his administration.
Justin Bibb is the right choice and the best choice for Mayor of Cleveland. His challengers in this election represent the failed status quo in city and state government or repurposed bad ideas from the 1970’s. We need new, fresh ideas in Cleveland and the leadership, integrity and enthusiasm necessary to develop a winning team at City Hall that will put Cleveland’s residents and neighborhoods first.
That’s why the Cleveland Plain Dealer, Cleveland.com, former Mayor Michael White and the Ohio Environmental Council (among others) have endorsed Justin Bibb.
Early voting has started in the September primary. Justin needs your donation now to catch up and keep pace with the corporate and privileged suburban contributors and many Republicans that are backing the old, tired ideas of the past at City Hall that have failed the City’s residents and neighborhoods and caused Cleveland to lose population while most cities are growing.
